At 45, the Emmy-award-winning star of "The New Adventures of Old Christine" is devoted to giving back.
"I lived in Sri Lanka when I was 7. My stepfather is a doctor and taught med students in developing countries. It wasn't like home - the school toilet was a hole in the ground. Now I'm in Los Angeles, but I don't like to pretend poverty doesn't exist. My sons, who are 9 and 14, work with Children Helping Poor and Homeless People. And I always keep Nutri-Grain bars in the glove compartment because giving away food to people who need it can never be bad..."
